IDOM catchs the attention of Rosatom, the Russian national atomic energy company

On May 31, 2016, IDOM established an important partnership agreement with the Russian atomic energy institution Rosatom.

During the celebration of “ATOMEXPO 2016 International Forum” in Moscow, the president of “Rusatom International Network”, Alexander Merten and the IDOM Nuclear Services area director, Xabier Ruiz Morin, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The agreement seeks cooperation of both parties in the construction, operation and modernization of nuclear power plants worldwide. From the equipment supplied by Rosatom, IDOM participate in the design and engineering of the plants, using the latest technologies of nuclear safety.

In addition, both parties agreed to join forces to support the specific field of nuclear research reactors, both in its construction and operation and back-end and decommissioning.

According to Rosatom, IDOM is one of the “major engineering and construction firms in Western Europe” and the signed document will establish a solid business relationship between both parties.
