Feasibility studies for the design of certified heliports in Almaraz and Trillo Nuclear Power Plants

IDOM has conducted feasibility studies, options studies and the preliminary design of certified emergency heliports at Almaraz and Trillo Nuclear Power Plants, according to AESA (Spanish Aviation Safety Agency) standards. The emergency heliports are designed to be used by heavy-lift helicopters in the event of a nuclear emergency. The studies have been related to environment, town planning, obstacles, meteorology, aerospace compatibility, helicopter fleet and the already existing infrastructures, as well as the economic assessment of the options and the preliminary project.
