The Basque Government, in its commitment to extend the Ultrafast Broadband, has contracted IDOM to provide guidance and support for the Ultrafast Broadband Observatory in the Basque Country, together with the Telecommunications Consultancy for its development. This Observatory is created as a collaboration between the various Basque Public Administrations (Basque Government and Provincial Councils) to ensure that ultrafast broadband networks reach every corner of the Basque Country, in particular rural and areas with economic activity. This will be the basis for Development of 4.0 initiatives in the region.
The main components of this project are:
Consultancy services to prepare the bases of the calls for public aid to extend this type of service in those villages and areas of economic activity in which there are imbalances in the market (lack of supply from the private initiative).
Monitor the progress of coverage of these services throughout the territory, either as a result of public assistance or by the private initiative of telecommunications operators.
Support to the Administration in Telecommunications Consulting.
