The plant consists of 138,120 polycrystalline solar panels (320 to 325 watts each), installed on a horizontal axis configuration, which gives the plant a global nominal power of 40 MW. With its entry into operation, this plant became the second largest solar power plant in the country.
The company responsible for construction, Engie Energía Perú, contracted IDOM to provide Owner’s Engineering services throughout the project, from the initial feasibility studies to implementation, including the preparation and launch of the EPC tender specifications, comparison of the subsequent proposals, revision of the detail engineering and supervision during the construction works (10 months).
