Audit and optimization of ITS systems in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has entrusted IDOM with the comprehensive audit of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) installed in the modernization project of Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq and Oruba streets in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This ambitious initiative encompasses advanced technology supervision for three urban tunnels and the deployment of a new state-of-the-art Control Center.

IDOM’s role has focused on ensuring the proper reception and operation of ITS systems, validating the effectiveness and suitability of the Operations Manual for management from the new center, and optimizing the sanitary ventilation algorithm for the tunnels, thereby achieving higher standards of safety and operational efficiency. As a result, Riyadh’s urban transportation system enhances its monitoring capabilities, emergency response, and sustainable management of critical infrastructure.
