Developing the Philippine Food Chain Logistics Masterplan 2022-2040

A modern, sustainable, and efficient farm-to-fork food flow

IDOM has been selected by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to assist the Government of the Philippines in the development of the Philippine Food Chain Logistics Master Plan (PFCLM) 2022-2040, which will serve as a roadmap for governments, the private sector and other key stakeholders to develop a modern, efficient and sustainable food logistics ecosystem, with policy recommendations and identification of investment opportunities.

This master plan, financed by ADB, will address food value chain, logistics issues, and develop policymaking recommendations, while indicating the investment needs that accompany them. The agricultural sector in the Philippines, with three of its component sub-sectors: Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, form the scope of the National Master Plan in question.

This project covers a period of 12 months and covers multidimensional aspects, placing the Filipino community at the centre of the project by ensuring safe and quality food, while promoting research and development of the agricultural sector in their fertile lands.
