Red Eléctrica de España (REE) commissioned IDOM to carry out the comprehensive refurbishment of two buildings in the Tres Cantos Technology Park as part of a project.
The project involves a comprehensive adaptation to the company’s new training and technological needs, modernizing the buildings with an envelope that meets energy efficiency requirements. The campus includes a 1MW IT power and TIER III data center, designed entirely by IDOM.
IT capacity: 1MW
The project was carried out entirely by IDOM, including the “Basic Project” and “Executive Project” design phases, as well as construction management. The disciplines included were:

Civil engineering
Structure
Electricity
IT, CCTV, Access Control
Fire protection and fire alarm (FP FA)
Air conditioning (HVAC)
BMS and PMS.
Hydraulic and sanitary installations
This project involved the comprehensive modernization of existing facilities and the creation of a cutting-edge technological environment that meets REE’s new training and digitization requirements. Notably, a 1 MW IT power data center with TIER III certification was incorporated. Designed entirely by IDOM, it reinforces the campus’s critical infrastructure and guarantees high levels of availability, security, and energy efficiency.
