IDOM participates in Metro de Santiago’s railway innovation seminar
On May 6, the IDOM team participated in the Second Innovation Seminar for the Railway Industry, an event organized by Metro de Santiago as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. The event brought together different actors of the railway ecosystem to reflect on the future challenges of public transport in the capital.
The event was opened by Felipe Bravo, General Manager of Metro, who emphasized the importance of innovation as a driving force to shape the future of urban transport in the next 50 years, highlighting the need to think strategically about solutions that respond to a city in constant transformation.
IDOM’s Competitividad e Innovación and Rail and Transit teams participated with a presentation entitled “Smart Mobility: Innovation and Challenges of Urban Transport”, delivered by Paulina Contreras Pezoa. The presentation covered international experiences of innovation in the sector, highlighting success stories and emerging technologies that are redefining transport systems. Through these experiences, the participants were presented with a paradigm shift that encourages thinking of public transport not only as an infrastructure, but as an intelligent, sustainable and human-centered platform, where new opportunities arise for science and technology-based ventures.
IDOM’s participation in this seminar reaffirms its commitment to the development of innovative solutions for urban transport, providing knowledge and strategic vision to the challenges faced by today’s cities.
