Identification and structuring of strategic tourism projects in Aseer
IDOM participated in the Abha Investment Forum, where the spotlight was on the development opportunities and transformative projects in the Aseer, Saudi Arabia, a region which is rapidly rising as one of the Kingdom’s most promising areas for tourism development, prioritized by the National Tourism Strategy as a driving force for the economic diversification. Furthermore, Aseer is positioning itself as one of the main venues for major sporting events, including the upcoming 2034 FIFA World Cup.
Over the past year, the city and territory team of IDOM has had the privilege of working alongside the Aseer Development Authority in the “Study for the Preparation of Investment Packages and a Comprehensive Database” to assess Aseer Region’s Real Estate and tourism markets, identify prime sites, and develop tailored investment packages that bring the region’s bold vision to life.
With over 4,000 heritage villages spread across diverse terrains of plateaus and peaks, from the western coast to the eastern desert and favorable climate conditions, Aseer offers unique assets to position the region as a global destination, both within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and internationally.
