One step closer to the future of healthcare
Since 2023, IDOM has had the honor of collaborating with Edwards Lifesciences on designing and constructing its new heart valve production plant in Moncada, Valencia. This project is a milestone in the application of industrial innovation to healthcare.
Our involvement began with the integral engineering of the project, including site analysis, conceptual design, basic and execution project development, urban planning procedures, LEED certification, and technical procurement assistance. In March 2025, we took on construction management, further demonstrating our commitment to technical excellence and overall project supervision.
On September 24, we celebrated the Shell Completion with a visit from Edwards’s global implantable device manufacturing managers. Following the start of construction in 2024, we completed the production block envelope, and we are currently working on the installations: HVAC systems, fire protection, black utilities, and electricity.
IDOM continues to lead construction and project management in this phase, applying a rigorous, multidisciplinary technical approach that aligns with the highest standards in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Sustainability, risk prevention, and regulatory compliance are fundamental to our work.
This project exemplifies how close collaboration with the client and the commitment of the IDOM team can turn a strategic vision into a tangible reality. We are moving forward with enthusiasm and contributing value and experience at every stage. We will soon share new milestones!
