IDOM at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025

From November 4 to 6, we participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC25), the premier international smart cities event, which took place at Fira Barcelona.

During the three-day event, we discussed with institutions, companies, and experts from around the world how we combine engineeringarchitecture, and consulting to create more efficient, connected, and sustainable cities.

From our stand in the Spanish Pavilion, we presented innovative projects and solutions such as:

  • Digital twins to simulate and manage urban infrastructure in real time.
  • Data-driven urban planning, enabling needs to be anticipated and resources to be optimized.
  • Smart mobility strategies, integrating public transport, electric mobility, and shared solutions to reduce emissions.
  • Artificial intelligence applications to optimize urban services and facilitate decision-making.

Smart cities are not just about technology; they are a commitment to people’s well-being, sustainability, and resource efficiency. In this regard, mobility plays a pivotal role by connecting neighborhoods, reducing travel times, and encouraging cleaner modes of transportation.

During the congress, the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial IntelligenceMaría González Veracruz, visited us, along with representatives from ICEXRECI and red.es. They were interested in learning about our initiatives for the cities of the future. The Japanese delegation also visited us, reinforcing the global nature of the event.

Our participation in the SCEWC once again reaffirms our commitment to promoting urban innovation and the sustainable transformation of cities.
