Geoje Corporate Innovation Park: the city of tomorrow begins today
On November 18, Gyeongnam Province and Geoje City officially launched the ambitious Geoje Corporate Innovation Park project, an initiative that aims to turn the region into a national benchmark for smart and convergent urban development. With an estimated investment of 1.5 trillion won and an area of 1.28 million square meters, this project will integrate tourism, digital technology, art, education, and residential spaces. IDOM has been responsible for developing its Detailed Master Plan, a document that is currently in the process of being approved by the South Korean authorities.
IDOM’s role in regional transformation
Since 2019, IDOM’s city and territory division has been responsible for developing multi-scale territorial studies that lay the foundations for the future regional strategy for the province of Gyeongnam. These analyses have identified new economic vocations and areas of opportunity for catalyst projects, under a SMART vision that prioritizes strategic initiatives with high appeal for public-private investment.
Specifically, the Detailed Master Plan for the Geoje Corporate Innovation Park complex, carried out by IDOM, is a next-generation development that combines advanced technology, digital art, and an innovative approach focused on comprehensive well-being. In addition, we have worked on master plans for residential complexes (J2 and J3) on Geoje Island, aligning real estate growth with the region’s sustainable and diversified development objectives.
