IDOM: Technology at the service of public mobility
On March 9, IDOM participated in the conference “Innovation and technology in public bus transportation”, organized by CONFEBUS at the Congress of Deputies. The session brought together representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, regional governments, operators, and industry experts to analyze the role of technology in improving public services.
Our colleague Koldo Berasategui spoke at the panel dedicated to innovation in contracts and public management. During his presentation, he highlighted how contractual models can serve as alever for incorporating advanced technological solutions into public transportation services.
Koldo presented IDOM’s experience in various public procurement projects and highlighted the case of Bilbobus, managed by the City of Bilbao, recognized by CONFEBUS and the sector itself as a benchmark in the application of innovation and digitalization to improve efficiency and service quality.
The conference highlighted that technology—from smart planning to the digital operation of services—is key to driving more sustainable, efficient, and citizen-centered mobility.
At IDOM, we continue to move in this direction, contributing our technological expertise and multidisciplinary experience to support public administrations and operators in building the public transportation of the future.
