Connecting global expertise at USHSR 2026, Washington DC
IDOM’s Rail & Transit Team recently participated in the USHSR 2026 conference in Washington, DC. This event is one of the leading high-speed rail industry events in the United States.
With the support of our Rail & Transit Global Lead, Lucas Álvarez, our colleagues Miguel Piñeiro and Borja Arostegui joined international rail industry leaders in panel discussions.
Miguel Piñeiro participated in a panel focused on systems integration in high-speed rail projects. Borja Arostegui joined a discussion on high-speed rail station development and highlighted IDOM’s role in the redevelopment of Bilbao Abando Station for integration into the Spanish high-speed rail network.
The announcement of the Track & Systems contract negotiations for the California High-Speed Rail program was also made at the event, where it is expected that a key role will be played by IDOM, leading Signaling, Communications and Traction Power Substation design activities.
USHSR 2026 provided an opportunity to exchange views on the future of high-speed rail and strengthen IDOM’s presence in the North American rail market.
