IDOM shares its expertise in ports in seismic environments at an event in Vigo
IDOM participated in the 12th ATPYC young professionals conference as a speaker and sponsor. Held at the Port of Vigo, the event brought together port professionals to share experiences and analyze the industry’s main challenges.
During the conference, our colleagues María Alejandra Grisales and Íñigo Díez García gave a presentation about IDOM’s experience with projects in Latin America. They addressed the criteria for assessing and rehabilitating port infrastructure in environments with high seismic activity and highlighted the importance of integrating these factors into asset design and management.
The event also featured presentations on key issues, including the digitization of port infrastructure, numerical modeling, innovative geotechnical solutions, structural durability, the energy transition, and the development of offshore solutions.
These forums enable us to share knowledge, compare technical approaches, and strengthen IDOM’s position in port engineering internationally.
