Ascend the mobility pyramid!
IDOM is participating in European Mobility Week once again this year. This initiative invites us to reflect on how we get around every day and discover more sustainable, healthy, and city-friendly alternatives.
Mobility is also part of our commitment to sustainability. For years, we have been working to promote safer and more sustainable commutes to workplaces through mobility studies and the implementation of Sustainable Commuting Plans (PMST) in cities such as Bilbao, Madrid, and Barcelona.
Our strategy is based on the inverted pyramid of mobility (see image), which prioritizes walking and biking, followed by public transportation and shared mobility. The strategy promotes the rational use of private vehicles. Our goal is to encourage lower-impact options and help create healthier urban environments.
In honor of European Mobility Week this year, we wanted to find out how some IDOM employees get around. In this carousel, they share their experiences and explain why they’ve incorporated certain mobility alternatives into their daily lives.
