At IDOM, 112 means life‑saving technology

How do you transform an emergency system that can’t stop?

In line with ongoing technological advances—and without losing sight of the core mission of 112 services—Europe is defining the evolution of 112 as a single emergency number toward fully digital environments. The imminent phase‑out of 2G/3G networks, the rollout of NG112, and the arrival of NG eCall in 2027 make it necessary to upgrade infrastructures that must operate 24/7 to ensure service interoperability and accessibility.

At IDOM, from the Security & Emergencies area, we are working on:

  • Migrations to IP‑based NG112 architectures.
  • Technological modernization of 112 centers and coordination rooms.
  • System integration across agencies and organizations.
  • Adaptation of platforms to manage more data, more channels, and greater interoperability.

We also actively participate in the working groups of the European Emergency Number Association (EENA), where technical criteria and best practices are shared and are shaping the future of 112 across Europe.

Swipe through the carousel to discover the projects driving this transformation—concrete examples of how IDOM is applying technology to systems that support emergency response.

We work in environments where reliability and availability are essential. And this is where our technological capability delivers real value to society.
