Finalist in the World Architecture Festival Awards 2025 with two projects in India

IDOM has been selected as a finalist in the World Architecture Festival Awards (WAF) 2025, one of the most recognized international architecture competitions. Our projects YASHOBHOOMI India International Convention Center and YASHOBHOOMI India International Exhibition Center, both at the International Convention and Expo Center in New Delhi, and developed in collaboration with the Indian studio CPKA, have been shortlisted in the Civic and Community and Display categories, respectively.

Located 11 km from New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport, the India Convention Centre will be the largest exhibition center in India and South Asia. Conceived as an anchor project for the country’s future development and strategically located between New Delhi and Gurgaon, the development encompasses 90 hectares comprising exhibition space (403,000 m²), a convention center (73,200 m²), offices (236,000 m²), hotels (339,000 m²), retail space (156,000 m²), a 20,000-seat multipurpose hall (64,200 m²), and more than one million square meters of parking, totaling almost 2.5 million square meters of built area.

The design process has been carried out with a sustainable approach from the earliest stages, so that ambitious goals have been achieved. In total, more than 6,600 trees and 40,000 shrubs will be planted throughout the complex, which will also be a smart city with a design that is 100% adapted for people with disabilities.

The WAF is the only global festival where all finalists present their projects live in front of a jury of more than 140 international experts. This year’s edition will be held November 12-14 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, marking its debut in the United States.

This recognition as a finalist in the World Architecture Festival Awards 2025 consolidates IDOM’s position as a benchmark in the design and execution of large-scale public infrastructure, and reinforces our commitment to architectural excellence on a global level.
