IDOM receives an honorary award from the university of Zaragoza’s school of engineering and architecture

The School of Engineering and Architecture (EINA) at the University of Zaragoza has awarded IDOM the Honorary Award at the fifth edition of its Annual Awards, presented on March 20 during the School’s anniversary celebration.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice Rector for Planning and Strategic Development at the University of Zaragoza, José Ramón Beltrán Blázquez; the Director of the School of Engineering and Architecture, José Antonio Yagüe Fabra; as well as representatives from professional associations and organizations. During the event, tribute was paid both to faculty members and to technical, management, administrative, and service staff (PTGAS) reaching retirement, as well as to those celebrating 25 years of professional service.

The EINA Honorary Award recognizes prominent individuals and organizations for their close ties to the School and their ongoing support of its values. On January 19, 2026, the award jury unanimously agreed to grant this recognition to IDOM.

According to EINA, IDOM’s relationship with the school is significant in several ways. Notably, this includes the large number of professionals trained at the school in engineering and architecture who have built their careers at IDOM, as well as IDOM’s strong presence in Zaragoza since 1965. From there, IDOM has driven consulting, engineering, and architecture projects with national and international impact.

Fernando Martínez Altarriba, Director of IDOM in Aragon, accepted the award.

At this year’s EINA Annual Awards, Ma. Soledad Pérez Pérez received the “Antonio Muñoz Porcar” Award for University Values.  Zebra Ventures, received the EINA Award for Innovation or Entrepreneurial Initiative.

These recognitions strengthen the bond between IDOM and the University of Zaragoza, reaffirming the company’s commitment to talent, collaboration with the academic community, and training future generations of engineers and architects.
