IDOM receives the Academiae Dilecta Award from the Royal Academy of Engineering

IDOM was honored with the Academiae Dilecta Award from the Royal Academy of Engineering in recognition of its track record as an independent, innovative engineering company dedicated to technological and social development.

The award ceremony took place on February 3 during a formal session held by the Royal Academy of Engineering. IDOM‘s president, Luis Rodríguez Llopis, accepted the award and gave a speech about the company’s evolution from its founding in 1957 to the present day.

During his address, he highlighted the principles that have guided the company since its inception: independence, technical excellence, and attention to people. He also recalled Rafael Escolá, the founder of IDOM and a pioneer of a unique model of professional engineering practice.

The Academiae Dilecta Award recognizes companies whose activities have significantly contributed to the prestige and progress of engineering in Spain. In IDOM’s case, the award recognizes a business model based on knowledge, continuous innovation, shared ownership, and a clear international focus.

With more than 5,700 professionals from over 70 countries, IDOM carries out projects in over 125 countries in fields such as energy, industry, infrastructure, architecture, science, and technology.

This award reaffirms IDOM’s commitment to its mission of using engineering to promote progress, sustainability, and societal well-being.
