The IICC Convention Centre wins the International Architecture Award

The convention center of the India International Convention & Expo Centre (IICC), popularly known as YASHOBHOOMI, has been awarded the prestigious International Architecture Award® 2025, granted by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Now in its 20th edition, this award celebrates architectural excellence worldwide, highlighting innovative and impactful projects. The IICC Convention Center, located in Delhi, has stood out in the Civic Centers category for its avant-garde design, monumental scale, and its ability to transform the urban environment.

The IDOM team, led by Tono Fernández Usón and Luis Gutiérrez de Rozas, designed, developed, and managed a convention center that combines functionality, sustainability, and contemporary aesthetics, with the collaboration of Ion Calvo (I&O Servicios India SL) and CP Kukreja Architects (CPKA) as local partners.

The award ceremony will take place on September 20 in Athens, as part of a gala organized by both institutions. Additionally, the IICC Convention Centre will be featured in the exhibition “The City and the World,” which will open the day before at Contemporary Space Athens.

This award reaffirms IDOM’s commitment to architectural excellence and its international outlook, consolidating its presence in landmark projects around the world.
