IDOM has delivered both basic and detailed engineering for the new track bundle, civil works, stations, and all related railway systems for the Santiago de Chile–Rancagua railway line. This modernization initiative significantly increases coverage, safety, and service reliability for passengers and freight transport alike.
The Santiago Rancagua Railway Line project focuses on the comprehensive improvement of the 80-kilometer railway corridor connecting Santiago de Chile with Rancagua.
The project is fully aligned with the Chilean authorities’ strategic commitment to strengthen the country’s railway network. By upgrading infrastructure and implementing advanced systems, IDOM supports the national goal of promoting rail transport as a key component in sustainable mobility and economic development throughout Chile.
