Training & simulation

International

Virtual reality training and simulation is an advanced technological tool that recreates real environments and situations in three dimensions, providing an immersive experience. This technology enables users to safely and repeatedly train in complex contexts such as industrial operations, technical procedures, and emergency situations. VR enables users to improve their understanding, decision-making, and knowledge retention through hands-on experience without real risk.

  • Vandellos II Virtual Recreation

This is an interactive, virtual recreation of the containment area of the Vandellós II nuclear power plant. Using Immersive Virtual Reality technology, visitors can experience the visual and scale sensations they would have in reality. With stereoscopy and real-time interaction, visitors experience total immersion, achieving cognitive results similar to those of real training.

The virtual recreation is based on scans, realistic images, and existing point clouds of the facilities. Technologically, point cloud visualization technology is integrated through polygonization using triangulation and polygon reduction at three levels. Ad hoc modeling is used for certain areas that require greater detail due to their impact.

  • Virtual recreation RENFE cabins

A 3D simulator of RENFE cabins for training and troubleshooting purposes.

This VR visualization tool was developed for RENFE to solve incidents in cabs through remote assistance from the head office. It is based on the most common use cases according to technician criteria.

It is a complete and detailed 3D model of the cabs, with all elements modeled by hand. This process ensures an accurate representation and provides a realistic, high-quality visual experience.

This tool allows you to operate three models of cabs from the RENFE train fleet interactively in VR with total freedom. The panels and controls are fully interactive, allowing for implementation in any type of training related to the use of these cabins.

  • Virtual recreation of Arcelor Mittal blast furnace

This is a virtual recreation of an ArcelorMittal blast furnace in Poland.

This VR visualization tool is used in ArcelorMittal’s training area to teach plant technicians how to perform risky tasks inside blast furnaces without any risk.

With it, we can freely explore the entire lower area of the blast furnace in hyper-realistic VR. It also includes navigation and visualization tools, such as a flashlight for unlit areas.
