CLIENT: PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe
SERVICES: Feasibility Study & Preliminary Design
YEAR: 2010 - 2013
COUNTRY: Poland
We developed the Feasibility Study and the Preliminary Design for the first High Speed Line in Poland with a total length of 450 km, to which 10 million people will have access.
The line will link Warsaw, Lodz, Poznan and Wroclaw with a train service that can reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
The new line will drastically reduce the current travel time and CO2 emissions resulting from passenger transportation, as well as increasing both comfort level and safety.
The aim of the study is to determine, among other things, the following aspects: demand studies, basic definition of the line, upgrading of the infrastructure, characteristics of the systems and rolling stock, and a funding model and infrastructure management.
