Luanda is undertaking one of the biggest sanitation plans in its history, which basically consists of the execution of two interceptors for the collection of waste water from the centre of the city to the new wastewater treatment plant.
This project will not just benefit a large portion of the population of the Angolan capital – around 1,790,000 inhabitants, already at saturation point – but will also contribute to improving the appearance of the bays and the environment in general.
