Copenhagen debuts its new tram
Phase 1 of the Copenhagen tramway has officially opened to traffic, marking an important milestone for the city and the entire IDOM team who helped make it a reality.
This new transport system has a route of 14 kilometers and 20 stations and will benefit over 14 million people a year by offering a more efficient, sustainable and fully integrated alternative in the Danish capital.
At IDOM, we played a key role in designing the infrastructure, leveraging our expertise to ensure a safe and functional system that integrates seamlessly into the urban landscape.
The new tram will reduce congestion, promote sustainable mobility, and improve the quality of life for thousands of citizens.
