IDOM a finalist in the 2026 World Stadiums & Arenas Awards with three projects
IDOM has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious World Stadiums & Arenas Awards 2026, a competition that recognizes the most innovative and sustainable projects in the sports infrastructure sector. The organization has officially announced the inclusion of three projects submitted by the firm: Claro Arena, the renovation of the Coliseum Stadium, and the new Romareda
The awards ceremony will take place in October 2026 at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences, as part of the World Stadiums & Arenas Summit, an event that brings together sports industry professionals from around the world.
The three key categories for which the finalist projects have been selected are:
- Claro Arena, a finalist in the Excellence in Eco-Friendly and Green Stadium Architecture category, stands out for its sustainable approach.
- The renovation of the Coliseum Stadium, in the Excellence in Stadium Renovation and Modernization category, combines modernization with architectural preservation.
- Nueva Romareda, in the Architectural Design for a New Stadium or Arena category, sets a benchmark for contemporary sports facility design.
These awards feature an international panel of experts who evaluate entries based on criteria such as innovation, sustainability, safety, and user experience.
The projects submitted for the awards include iconic stadiums from different continents, which confirms the growing competitiveness of the sector and the high caliber of the 2026 shortlist.
