IDOM supports emerging engineering talent at REASS networking night 2026 in Melbourne

IDOM participated as Premium Sponsor at the 2026 RMIT Engineers Australia Student Society (REASS) Networking Night. The event at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) city campus brought together engineering students and industry professionals to discuss future career paths and international opportunities.

During the evening, IDOM’s team connected with a highly engaged group of students, sharing first‑hand insights into what it means to build an international engineering career within the firm, which operates in 45 offices worldwide, including a strong presence in Australia.

The event featured a panel session expertly facilitated by Hasan Akif Arin, bringing together current and former IDOM interns Lucas Macrae and Sebastien Thai, who openly shared their experiences and personal journeys within the company. Their contributions offered students a realistic and valuable perspective on professional development, international mobility and daily project work at IDOM. Muhammad Khattak also brings great vibes to the conversations on the night.

The networking session that followed was marked by thoughtful conversations on topics such as international placements, visa processes, project environments and the skills required to succeed in a global engineering context, highlighting the strong curiosity and motivation of the next generation of engineers.

IDOM also acknowledged Anzac Pirika, Felipe Águila and Yesica Gutiérrez, members of the 2025–2026 internship cohort, who while they couldn’t make the event, are an important part of this ongoing story.

Through initiatives such as the REASS Networking Night, IDOM reaffirms its commitment to talent development, knowledge sharing and supporting future engineers as they begin their professional journeys.
