IDOM participates in the launch in Dakar of an ECOWAS strategic study on multipurpose dams
IDOM’s Water division team participated in the kick-off event for the Feasibility Study on New Multipurpose Dams Sites for the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) held in Dakar, Senegal, organized by the ECOWAS Project Preparation and Development Unit (PPDU).
This meeting marked the official start of a strategic regional initiative for which IDOM has been selected as the consulting firm. During the two-day event, the study’s objectives, methodology and planned coordination and information exchange framework were presented to representatives from ECOWAS member states, transboundary basin organizations, regional institutions and development partners.
The event enabled the various stakeholders to align their efforts from the project’s earliest stages and establish a shared understanding of its scope and ambition. IDOM highly values the organization’s quality and the constructive nature of the discussions, as they have provided a solid foundation for the study’s development.
