IDOM designs office building for the bottling plant of the new Estrella Galicia
IDOM designed the office building for bottling plant of the new Estrella Galicia factory in Morás, Arteixo. This project combines industrial functionality, architectural quality, and strong integration into the landscape.
Situated on a southeast-facing platform, the building is part of the complex’s overall layout and opens onto a tree-lined esplanade that serves as a welcoming and transitional space. Its strategic location adjacent to the packaging facility facilitates direct connections between administrative spaces, laboratories, and production areas.
The architecture of the building is distinguished by its sober and precise industrial style, which is based on a modular steel structure and cladding made of prefabricated concrete panels. A system of vertical ribs on the façade filters sunlight and enhances interior comfort. Large glazed openings ensure natural lighting and ventilation.
The project prioritizes industrializing construction processes and integrating sustainable solutions for HVAC, lighting, and water management. The complex meets LEED Gold criteria and adheres to the highest international standards.
