Bringing engineering closer to the next generation
Every June 23, we celebrate International Women in Engineering Day. This day aims to highlight female talent in a historically male-dominated sector and inspire new generations to pursue careers in science and technology.
At IDOM, our commitment to introducing the next generation to engineering is realized through our participation in Inspira STEAM, a mentoring program for young people, especially girls, to spark their interest in science and technology.
Over the past few years, several IDOM professionals have participated as mentors, sharing their experiences and introducing students to real-life role models. Last academic year alone, the program reached over 1,500 students in dozens of schools, helping to break down stereotypes and showcase new career possibilities.
Our team’s involvement has been consistent. Since 2020, over a dozen company employees have participated in the initiative by actively collaborating in mentoring, training, and support sessions.
Once again, this year, we renew our commitment to Inspira STEAM, convinced of the importance of providing relatable role models and fostering a more diverse and inclusive engineering field from the earliest stages of education.
