Students from the School of Civil Engineering of the University of Cantabria work on innovative projects in the IDOM Classroom

At IDOM we are committed to the training and development of young talent in the field of engineering. For this reason, in 2021, we have launched the IDOM Classroom at the School of Civil Engineering of the University of Cantabria.

On this occasion, we have had the honor of holding the mid-term review of the final master’s degree projects of four students focused on the improvement of regional public transport.

The projects for the improvement of the Torrelavega-Santander railway line are being developed by Jesús Quiroga Quintela, focusing on section I, and Christian Moreno Vicente, focusing on section II.

Pablo Mirantes Ibabe, is developing the tramway project in Santander, with a proposal to connect the centers of greater mobility of the city, considering the construction of a new tunnel connecting the north and south areas.

Finally, Rubén Eraña Martínez, is evaluating the sustainability of the electric Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Santander, with the aim of improving the flow of passengers between the Sardinero Interchange, the Science and Technology Park of Cantabria (PCTCAN), El Alisal and Nueva Montaña.

Congratulations to the students for their work and dedication!
