Design of Istanbul new metro line, Vezneciler-Sultangazi

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality entrusted IDOM with the preliminary and final design of the Metro line between Vezneciler and Sultangazi. This project covers 17 km of underground infrastructure, including fifteen stations, depots, and workshops.
The scope of IDOM Istanbul Metro Vezneciler-Sultangazi design includes preparing alternative studies, transport and alignment studies, geotechnical investigations, feasibility studies, architectural and structural design, electromechanical projects, and tender documents.
Istanbul, the economic engine of Turkey and Europe’s most populous city, constantly expands its metro network to meet growing transport needs. The new line designed by IDOM will span 17 km underground from south to north, connecting Vezneciler with Sultangazi and passing beneath the district of the famous Fatih Mosque.
