Social and environmental due diligence of water sector projects in Romania

Due diligence is essential to ensure the sustainability of water projects in Romania. IDOM has carried out due diligence assessments for entities and consortia responsible for managing water supply and sanitation services in the country. These organizations serve more than 50% of Romania’s population and oversee construction and modernization projects for 62 water treatment plants and 105 wastewater treatment plants, all co-financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The due diligence performed by IDOM ensures compliance with international standards and promotes sustainable development in water supply and sanitation projects throughout Romania.
