Supervision of wastewater treatment projects

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is providing support to ProInversión in the process of the integral structuring of 6 wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) under a PPP model. To support the development of the process and ensure that the results are aligned, the IDB has contracted IDOM to carry out the integral financial, technical and legal supervision of the 6 projects.

Supervision services for 6 wastewater treatment projects to be implemented under PPPs

This involves:

• Full supervision of the structuring and awarding process of 6 WWTPs in Peru.
• The WWTPs are included in private initiative processes (private operators propose possible concessions) for which there is a declaration of interest by the Peruvian Government.
• IDB is backing the process and with the support of IDOM seeks to define a structuring model that will serve as a basis for future sanitation projects in the country.
• IDOM is supervising the entire process from the declaration of interest to the market launch and awarding of the contract, in which several consultancy firms are involved.

The process is currently underway, and IDOM is working closely with the teams from ProInversión, IDB and the different structuring companies in the development of the project, supervising the work and supporting the achievement of the required levels of quality and deadlines.
