Design of use cases for AI applications in Smart Cities

IDOM has developed a project for the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA)—the national entity leading data, AI, and Smart Cities strategy in Saudi Arabia—aimed at fostering the application of Artificial Intelligence in the Smart Cities domain. The work includes the definition of use cases in areas such as energy, municipal management, mobility, security, and emergency services, together with an analysis of the AI solutions market and their suitability for the Saudi urban ecosystem.
In parallel, the technical specifications required for the development and deployment of the identified solutions were produced, ensuring alignment with national digital platforms and with the strategic priorities promoted by SDAIA in the areas of smart cities and digital transformation.
The project was supported by a Project Management Office (PMO), which coordinated the activities and ensured technical and organizational coherence throughout all phases.
