Strategic plan for the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in road infrastructure

The work covers an analysis of the current situation, including an assessment of digital maturity, technical capabilities, and internal procedures across the different services and organizations linked to the department. It also includes the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of AI use cases to improve the management, maintenance, operation, and upgrading of the road network, as well as to enhance internal processes.

The project comprises a detailed analysis of the needs of each service within the department, an international benchmarking of AI applications in the road infrastructure sector, and a technical and organizational feasibility study of the identified use cases. All of this has made it possible to define the project portfolio that shapes the resulting strategy.

The work is completed with a proposal for AI governance, a framework of best practices, and a change management and training plan aimed at ensuring the effective adoption of the technologies by technical teams and the successful implementation of the defined plan.
