IDOM is modernizing the traffic signal system and control center in Armenia, Colombia
IDOM participates in the modernization of the traffic signal system and Control Center in Armenia, Colombia. The aim is to improve urban traffic management and upgrade infrastructure previously affected by technological obsolescence.
IDOM’s scope of work includes technical, legal, financial, environmental, and safety supervision to ensure project execution complies with contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements. Key activities include monitoring the supply and installation of equipment, implementing the Control Center, performing quality control of construction work, and supervising testing and commissioning.
One of the project’s key aspects is technological integration, which ensures proper coordination among various system components, such as controllers, communications, central software, and field devices, and verifies their joint operation from an operational perspective.
Through this initiative, IDOM strengthens its expertise in smart mobility and ITS systems, contributing to the implementation of more efficient, connected, and adaptable solutions to current urban needs.
