National recognition for IDOM: Grupo Jumex project wins “Galardón Tameme 2026”

IDOM received the “Galardón Tameme 2026” National Logistics Award in the Logistics Service Provider category for our work with Grupo Jumex’s new Master Distribution Center II (CMD II).

This recognition highlights our support of Grupo Jumex’s transition to a more centralized and automated logistics model. We worked on everything from defining the operational model to launching and stabilizing the new center.

The award was presented on November 5 in Mexico City. The award recognizes companies and professionals who contribute to the supply chain. In the Logistics Service Provider category, it honors solutions in areas such as warehousing, distribution, consulting, and infrastructure.

A New Automated Logistics Center for Grupo Jumex

The growth of Grupo Jumex’s operations created the need to expand storage capacity and transition to a centralized, automated logistics model. To address this challenge, the company developed its new Master Distribution Center II (CMD II), which is designed to centralize logistics operations and finished-goods inventory.

At IDOM, we supported Grupo Jumex in launching the new center. Our work included defining processes and business rules, overseeing the integration of different systems, monitoring the installation of logistics equipment, planning and executing the transition of operations, and coordinating comprehensive system and equipment testing.

One of the project’s main challenges was integrating the new processes, systems, and automation technologies into a single operation. CMD II incorporates an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) with over 66,000 pallet positions, 15 aisles, and 17 levels, as well as SVL intralogistics transport systems and an FRS system for products intended for case picking. The center also integrates WMS and WCS systems to manage internal movement.

The new center began operations in September 2025, making it possible to centralize finished goods inventory, optimize internal flows, and increase storage density from 1.0 to 3.0 pallets per square meter.

The “Tameme Award” National Logistics Prize annually recognizes professionals and companies for their contributions to the supply chain. For the 2026 edition, the award seeks initiatives that have implemented or consolidated innovations, integration, or automation from operational, organizational, or technological perspectives.

For IDOM, this recognition highlights our work alongside Grupo Jumex and our experience supporting projects in which processes, systems, and automation must function together to transform logistics operations.
