PARTICIPATING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A DIGITAL TECHNOLOGICAL PARK

Diamniadio is a new city created by the Government of Senegal with the intention of reducing the congestion suffered by the capital of the country, Dakar. Attractive spaces are being created which will attract investors. In addition, the entire population will have access to Information and communication technologies (ICT).

Located just 35 km from Dakar, close to the new international airport (AIDB), Diamniadio has over 4,000 hectares ready for development.

The objective of the Government is to create a digital hub in an area of 25 hectares. This site will be the heart of this new administrative and business city, with space for ICT businesses serving both public and private companies, national and international.

The total investment is €70 million euros, of which €61 million is financed by the African Development Bank and €9 million by the Government of Senegal. The first phase of this project involves the design and construction of 15,000 m2 of offices. The Technology Park will also include a Tier III data centre.

IDOM has been chosen to develop the Master Plan of the Technology Park, including the architecture and basic and detailed engineering. We will also provide on-site technical assistance during the construction phase.

This work is being carried out within the framework of the EMERGING SENEGAL PLAN (ESP), promoted by the Senegalese Ministry of Communications to stimulate the development of the information and communication technologies sector.
