The ex-President of Senegal congratulates IDOM on the Diamniadio Technology park
Macky Sall, President of the Republic of PM Senegal since last March, recently visited the technology park that we have designed in Diamniadio, near Dakar. Construction is nearing completion.
While touring the facilities, he congratulated our team for designing a project that will include technology incubators, offices, and a Tier III data center of 4000 M2 and 9.8 megawatts of power, the largest in West Africa.
In addition to the energy-efficient bioclimatic systems in the buildings, the heart of the park was designed as an oasis with over 4,000 trees, a veritable green lung to counteract Dakar’s harsh climatic conditions. Around the forest, a large solar pergola of 1,250 m² shelters pedestrians and allows the generation of 300 MWh/year of electricity, making the technology park a reference in sustainability in this African country.
