50 MW VILLENA THERMOSOLAR POWER PLANT – Solar field with parabolic trough collectors

The Villena thermosolar power plant, located in Alicante, has a production capacity of 50 MW using a modern solar field with parabolic trough collector technology. The design of this parabolic trough solar power plant includes provisions for the future integration of a molten salt thermal storage system and features a MAN Turbo steam turbine with 3 extractions. IDOM has developed both the basic and detailed engineering, as well as procurement support for the Power Block, BOP, and HTF system, ensuring high efficiency and reliability for the facility.

The design has been developed, considering the future installation of a thermal storage system using molten salts. The steam turbine is a MAN Turbo turbine (3 extractions).

IDOM developed for FCC (ENERSTAR) the Basic Engineering, Detailed Design, and Support to Procurement of the Solar Field, Power Block, BOP and HTF.
