Boufarik Simple Cycle Power Plant (750 MW): Efficient engineering for Algeria’s electricity supply

Algeria

The Boufarik Simple Cycle Power Plant, with a capacity of 750 MW, is located in the Blida region of Algeria. This Boufarik Simple Cycle Power Plant features three GE 9FA gas turbines operating primarily on natural gas, with fuel oil as a backup, and achieves an annual generation of approximately 4,000 GWh—enough to supply electricity to over 1 million homes. Gama relied on IDOM for the basic and detailed engineering of the project, ensuring efficient and reliable power delivery.
