The Bahía de Bizkaia Combined Cycle Power Plant, with a capacity of 800 MW and located in the Port of Bilbao, is a benchmark for efficient power generation in northern Spain. This Bahía de Bizkaia Combined Cycle Power Plant features a 2×1 configuration with two GE PG9351FA gas turbines, two BWE triple-pressure natural circulation HRSGs, and a two-casing steam turbine with intermediate reheating and open-circuit seawater cooling, all from GE. IDOM has been involved since the project’s inception, delivering basic and detailed engineering, equipment supply, and managing construction, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
