UK
The Ness waste-to-energy plant, located in Aberdeen (Scotland), is being built and will be operated by Acciona as part of the Ness Energy Project. This state-of-the-art waste-to-energy plant will process 150,000 tonnes of waste annually, generating 15 MWe for the power grid and 10 MWth for district heating. IDOM has provided basic and detailed engineering, as well as procurement support for all mechanical and electrical equipment, instrumentation, steel structures, and auxiliary supplies, contributing to efficient and sustainable urban waste management.
ACCIONA is responsible for the construction and operation of a waste‐to‐energy plant in Aberdeen (Scotland) called the Ness Energy Project.
With a capacity to treat 150,000 tonnes of waste per year, the plant will produce 15 MWe and 10 MWth for district heating. The plant will be made up of a single line with a treatment capacity of 400 t/d.
IDOM has developed the basic and detailed engineering of the project, as well as assisting in the procurement of all mechanical and electrical equipment, instrumentation, metal structure, and other auxiliary supplies.
