East Anglia One 714 MW offshore wind farm, in the English South East coast of the North Sea

UK

The offshore East Anglia One wind farm (714 MW) is located in the North Sea, 85 km off the Southeast coast of England. When it comes into operation in 2020, it will be one of the biggest in the world, supplying almost 500,000 British homes.

The park consists of 102 wind turbines (235-meter high), each generating 7 MW. The jackets reach a height of 65.5 meters. With an investment of close to 3 billion euros, the wind farm will cover an area of approximately 300 km².

IDOM is responsible for the 3D modelling of the metallic structure of the substation, including equipment, auxiliary systems, and the different levels of the topside (cable deck, main deck, utility deck, and roof deck).
