Revamping works in the WTE Plant of Sant Adria del Besos, Barcelona

TERSA has hired Ros Roca for the substitution of the 3 grates and slag extractor due to a change in the wastes to be treated. Technology was done by Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI).
The Project comprises the following equipment:
- Feed Hopper
- Hydraulic station
- 3 new grates and corresponding cooling system
- Slag extractor
- Ventilation system
- Electrical Works
- Control works
The functions performed by IDOM were:
- Layout definition, closely working with Hitachi
- Equipment integration into existing geometry
- Integration of all project disciplines according to Hitachi’s specifications
- Structural design and reinforcement of the existing structure
- Grate supporting new steel structure and furnace steel structure reinforcement
