Improving sanitation in the municipality of Zonguldak

The project consists of the improvement and expansion of the existing collector system, more than 42 km of sewage network, proposing another 25 km of new construction.
New treatment infrastructures must be resilient and incorporate the best of the latest technologies
The network includes seven pumping stations and a collector-interceptor to pump the wastewater to the treatment plant. Part of this structure is a 620 m long underwater outlet, which evacuates the effluent from the treatment plant.
The main node of the project is the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of more than 60,000 m³ / day, to ensure adequate treatment for the flow generated by the population of approximately half a million inhabitants.
