Transformation of Metro Units

Within a more ambitious project for the delivery of new train units to the subway company of Mexico DF, CAF was asked to transform 32 existing 9-car units into 6-car units in order to adequate the train service to the transportation demand.
IDOM developed the detail engineering of the transformation of intermediate railcars into leading cars -including the coach structure, cabin and other mechanisms (doors, parking brakes and others), car cover and interiors- and provided technical assistance to the first prototype manufacturing, assembly and set-up.
