Strengthening ties with the University and Research

Collaboration agreement between IDOM and Tecnun

We are delighted to report on the signing of an institutional collaboration agreement between IDOM and Tecnun, the School of Engineering of the University of Navarra in San Sebastián. This act took place at the end of July, with the participation of Iñigo Gutiérrez, the Development Director of the School, and Mikel Guerra, the Director of the IDOM office in San Sebastián.

The signing of this agreement seeks to strengthen the close relationship between IDOM and Tecnun, which has been growing for years. Several of our IDOM colleagues have been teaching various subjects in the classrooms of TECNUN as well as specific sessions related to their areas of specialization.

It should be noted that IDOM had been collaborating in the Master of Industrial Engineering (MII) Programme that Tecnun offers in San Sebastián and at its postgraduate headquarters in Madrid. In the respective offices of IDOM in both cities, the postgraduate students of Tecnun receive talks from IDOM professionals as part of the subject “Design of Structures”.

Likewise, in addition to internships and Master’s Thesis that the Tecnun students undertaken at IDOM, the MII Madrid students on this year’s course have visited our headquarters in the capital.

During the signing of this agreement, Iñigo Gutiérrez stressed that “it is a privilege to count on the collaboration of IDOM for the training of Tecnun engineers. The firm will promote new ways of collaboration and give greater visibility to the company among our students.”

For his part, Mikel Guerra pointed out that “the collaboration with Tecnun allows IDOM to maintain a close bond with the University, which is highly beneficial for both students, who get to see the reality of what their future working life will be like, and for IDOM, which requires them to stay at the forefront of technology as well as making contact with future professionals, professors and researchers from Tecnun.”
